Information Session

On 10th April 2017

The GK SG Chapter held our Information Session of 2017 to welcome our new members! These students have been working hard in and had successfully achieved the top 15% of the JCUS cohort. Our GK membership is based on invitations only, so it's been exciting to receive a wonderful news of having 90+ students on the list!

Our EXCO team is very small (guess how small is it?), so our Mrs Toh, our Chapter Advisor, and Shenelle, our current GK member, have been very kind to volunteer helping us to run the event smoothly. Shenelle assisted as an event photographer, and Mrs Toh gave me effective advices along the way. Some of our invitees were very generous too for helping us to set up our GK standing banner.

We have also invited two of our GK seniors; Vera and Evangeline to share their experiences as GK leaders!

We commenced the session by welcoming and congratulating our new members for being part of our family. Then, we played two videos prepared by our Asia-Pacific Headquarters (APHQ) to give our attendees what GK is all about. I presented some presentation slides to talk about the achievement of our GK alumni from 2012 to 2016, the available EXCO leadership positions available, and the upcoming events for them to sign up.

Dinner provided was from Spize. They came in beautiful bento boxes with sealed transparent disposable utensils; a very elegant way of packaging. We've standardised Halal vegetarian catering so to ensure dietary inclusion.
